One of the biggest challenges during any aircraft redelivery is the management of Open Item Lists (OILs).

What Is an Open Item List (OIL)?

An Open Item List is a consolidated list of technical, records, compliance, or physical findings identified during the aircraft redelivery process.

These findings may include:

  • Missing maintenance documentation;

  • Incomplete Back-to-Birth (BTB) traceability;

  • Hard Time component discrepancies;

  • Repair file gaps;
